katherine hamilton have been on my radar for a long time, being one of the few fuller bust brands that go below a 28 band, but their products have always been a little out of my personal budget. when they reached out to me on instagram to offer me this gorgeous emilie set to try, i was SO excited! being a true 26GG, it is hard to find bras in this size so i often settle for 28G and 30FF, taking the bands in when they stretch out too much or trying to find styles that come up particularly tight in the band!
as soon as my emilie wireless bralette set arrived through the door, i couldn’t resist trying it out. it arrived in a beautifully sleek, branded black box with the matching thong. i opted for a 26GG in the bralette and the thong in an 8. my first impressions were a little doubtful – i couldn’t see how it would fare at holding up my bust as it looked so delicate and elegant with the lace and soft tulle – but i needn’t have worried at all! it is comfortable and supportive, giving a great shape and even manages to separate my bust slightly which is great for a wireless bra design. if you’re between cup sizes or particularly full on top i would suggest going up a cup size so it doesn’t dig in along the neckline, as there isn’t a lot of stretch to it.
the band fits perfectly on the loosest hook and doesn’t move a bit. the cups are a great true to size fit, and fit comfortably and secure around my entire breast tissue. the gorgeous french floral lace overlays a sheer beige tulle giving a super elegant finish and a look that is delicate and timeless. the inner tulle lining to the cups definitely helps shape and support the bust, as well as the beautiful cross-back straps which are trimmed with more of the same lace. while it isn’t a bra i’d go running in, it is secure, comfortable, supportive and perfect for going wire-free in the office, travelling or sleeping.
the rings and sliders and hooks-and-eyes are gold, with soft pure silk details across the set, adding even more luxurious touches. the coordinating thong is a perfect fit, comfortable to wear and is constructed well. i’ve worn and washed this set a fair few times now since i received it, and it has held up exceptionally well with no stretching or wearing out so far.
katherine hamilton have definitely shot to the top of my recommended brands when people ask me for advice, and while i appreciate that their prices are on the higher side i can confidently say they are worth the cost with exquisite design, luxurious fabrics and an incredible fit. i’m going to be saving up to try out another of their sets as soon as i can!
the katherine hamilton emilie bralette is available in 26-34 band sizes and D-HH cups (cup sizes vary by band) with a matching thong or classic knicker in sizes 6-16.
